Exodus 35:4-5 Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded. 5 Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze;
1 Crónicas 29:1-2 Entonces el rey David dijo a toda la asamblea: Mi hijo Salomón, el único que Dios ha escogido, es aún joven y sin experiencia, y la obra es grande; porque el templo no es para hombre, sino para el Señor Dios. 2 Con toda mi habilidad he provisto para la casa de mi Dios, el oro para las cosas de oro, la plata para las cosas de plata, el bronce para las cosas de bronce, el hierro para las cosas de hierro, la madera para las cosas de madera; también piedras de ónice, piedras de engaste, piedras de antimonio, piedras de varios colores, toda clase de piedras preciosas y piedras de alabastro en abundancia.

2 Corinthians 8:1-5 We want you to know, brothers, about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia, 2 for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part. 3 For they gave according to their means, as I can testify, and beyond their means, of their own accord, 4 begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints— 5 and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.
